I again attended a seminar last August 23, 2008. I was a day activity( it's just that I came late because I reported to my duty) for eductaion students. The event was held at the Bicol University, Ampitheater Building with the theme " Mabunga at Makabuluhang Filipino: Multidisiplinaring Pagtuturo sa Filipino."
here are things that I learned from that affair:
1. Love to use your own.
**Our own language is the most useful "word" to be used when story-telling. Children will appreciate much and will learn more if they will understand (easily) what we are talking about.
2. An objective to be followed.
**When telling a story, there should be an objective so that we can easily follow an out'draft of what we are going to say or to relate.
3. The voice within.
**Teachers should NOT BE "OODLE-DOODLE" when it comes to speaking. How will the learners understand what you are sharing if you speak on your butt? huh?
4. Picasso Teacher.
**A creative story-teller is loved by most listeners. Not those who are boring-to-death!!
5. One among SIX!
**Among the six school attendees (Bicol University, Sorosogon State Colleges, Divine Word College of Legazpi, San Jose Community College, Aquinas University of Legazpi) AUL stands out... the very first... the most... the super duper... the majestic... NOISY GROUP EVER!!!(I am not included in the roll of noisy fellows, hehe**)
Lesson Planning is also discussed but I don't remeber much on this becuase we focused much on our chikka minutes.hehe
